In this first module, you will:
- Learn how to choose an oil for its quality;
- Be able to use the appropriate language to talk about essential oils;
- Know how they are applied (olfaction and absorption through the skin);
- Understand the warnings and precautions to be taken when using essential oils (especially for people who are sick, pregnant women, and children);
- Study the biochemical families and the following oils: Santalum album (Sandalwood), Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Cinnamon bark), and Litsea cubeba (Lemon litsea).
In this second module, you will:
- Understand the relationship between essential oils and history, starting with the first medicines invented by man;
- Understand plant classification;
- Discover chemotypes, hybrids, and clones;
- Study three major oils: Eucalytptus globulus (Eucalyptus globulus), Mentha x piperita (Peppermint), and Salvia officinalis (Sage).
In this third module, you will:
- Explore the fascinating history of aromas and fragrances in various civilizations;
- Understand how aromatic molecules integrate the human body;
- Associate scents with chemistry;
- Study three oils: Cedrus atlantica (Atlas Cedar), Helichrysum italicum (Corsican Immortelle/Helichrysum), and Commiphora myrrha (Myrrh).
